some bad, some good

bad first.  dude it has been raining here for the past like 2 weeks straight and the 10 day forecast says rain every day.  i know, i know.  i live in seattle.  i should expect this.  but i made it through the rainy season.  even seattle-ites are saying this is not normal for this time of year.  especially since a few weeks back it was so nice and we were al wearing shorts.  this abnormal stint of rain is getting on all of our nerves i think.  we just want the sun back.  we want the summer to start already.  because there is nothing like summer in seattle.

and some good.  so i'm biking home from shannon's house tonight.  around 10:30 or so.  there's these 3 semi drunk people about to get in their car.  they turn when i'm about 100 feet away and start clapping.  like really clapping. like i had just won a race.  and they say, "thank you for biking.  thank you."  and they genuinely meant it.  they weren't making fun of me or anything.  and as i pass the 2 women scream.  wooooOOOoooo.  encouraging me as i ride.  not that i really needed the encouragement.  it was a beautiful night.  the moon was shining so big.  and, i think i mentioned this already on this blog, but i love riding at night.  but still.  it was awesome.  i smiled as they yelled and thanked me.  biking is so good.
