Today was a good day, lots going on.
Church was good. I was a greeter today (first time I have served at this church) which was pretty cool, although kind of uneventful. But I met a bunch of new people who were greeters with me. The sermon today was pretty good. It was mostly about worship and how instead of worrying we should worship and instead of coveting we should worship. I dunno if that even makes sense to you, there's a lot more I could say, but I'm sleepy.
Then I went for a little hike with Mark (one of my roommates) and Justin (works with my roommates). It was a nice mellow hike. There were some 'points of interest' on the map that we were excited about that we're pretty sure did not exist. Like cave hole and lookout point and 2 waterfalls. We looked EVERYWHERE where the map said they were supposed to be, but no sign of them anywhere. So it was a little disappointing, but still a nice time to chill in nature.
After the hike, a bunch of us met up at Shannon's (works with my roommates) parent's house for dinner. They live about 30 min. outside of Seattle which is pretty close to where we went hiking. They cooked us an awesome dinner. And they have an amazing view of Mount Si from their house, it's basically a huge mountain right across the street from their house. It's always really interesting meeting people's parents, I really think it is fascinating in so many ways.
Lastly, we all went to go see Where the Wild Things Are. I've heard some interesting things about the movie, but I really liked it. It was way deep and I think I still need some more time to process it all. Definitely not a typical movie, which is partly why I liked it. The music was great. Just lots of emotions and tons of crazy symbolism, not all of which I fully get. But good.
