bike trail. or not...

around mile 26 of my attempted 40 mile bike ride, the trail decided to turn into gravel.  which is not at all ridable on my road bike.  there were all these signs for the trail and i was excited it was gonna work out so nicely.  and then there was no trail.  the first 25 miles were on this one trail and then it switches to this other trail.  the first mile was awesome.  smoothly paved, great signage, awesome scenery.  and then literally it just stopped.  no warning.  it said 'to preston' but there was no way to get to preston.  it was like they worked so hard on the first mile that they didn't have enough energy to continue it any further.  anways, i tried to find another route.  but it just did not work.  i ended up just biking around for a while.  then had to have shannon come pick me up and drive me the last 15 miles to where we were going.  either way, it was a nice day and a nice ride.  i'm just disappointed by the bike trails once you get 15 miles outside of seattle.  oh suburbs.
