Roller Derby

So yesterday I went to my first ever roller derby.  The Rat City Roller Girls are pretty popular out here I guess.  It was a lot of fun, minus the really annoying announcer.  She was terrible.  I watched some YouTube videos to learn the rules.  They basically just skate around in circles and check each other.  Maybe an elbow here and there.  But by the end we started to understand how they score points and stuff.  There was this one girl who was HUGE and did not look very athletic or mobile.  But, dude, when she got in the ring (or whatever it's called) she was crazy fast and could dip and dodge around pretty much any other girl.  It was fun though and now I can say that I've been to a roller derby.  And actually half understand the rules.
