my day started at 3:15 this morning and i'm starting this at 1:15 my time. that's a 22 hour day and i'm too tired for complete sentences, but felt compelled to be the first guest blogger on rain down. some highlights: stressing over toll money and the gas light. walking to the gate as they are boarding in newark. flashbacks to a family trip to minnesota in the minneapolis/st. paul airport. obnoxious life stories from the woman in the middle seat. seeing mount rainier from the sky. finding jill. seeing mount rainier from the ground. dodging aggressive dog walkers and roller bladers around green lake. sweating because it's WARM. napping. walking over the "so seattle" bridge. seeing the tiny space needle. observing homeless youth.
while nothing is planned with a pen and paper for the next few days, i secretly know jill has a plan of more things we're gonna go see and do. so exciting! i hope these days go slow...
ps. there are mountains everywhere... where's the ocean??
