chess

i started to learn to play chess today.  one of our regular wednesday volunteers brings 2 chess boards each week.  one of the youth has been trying to teach me to play chess for a while now.  but every time he is there the chess board is not and vice versa.  but today was the day.  so i learned the basic chess moves.  we started playing a game.  although we didn't have time to finish.  he is super smart.  he said next time he is going to teach me to really play chess.  like the strategy and stuff.  it was cool to learn from him.  i'm telling you, i learn something new from these youth every day.  and i'm not just talking about life stuff.  but i mean i learn facts from them about history and philosophy and chess.  they are super smart.
