Story time

Here is a story from one of my friends who did a few days of volunteering in Washington DC.  He is super awesome:

ahem:
so i was running out of the soup kitchen/thrift store/affordable housing agency called martha's table to put change in the meter and as i was walking back their daycare camp that they have was returning and all the little kiddies were holding hands and it was so sunny out it was cute! and there was an individual that was homeless sitting on a little ledge on the sidewalk looking very tired. and then as the little daycare kiddies were walking by this one little girl stops and runs back and gives this person a little flower they picked at the park. i didn't know what to think i was soo taken aback but it was a priceless moment because the person smiled and kind of chuckled to themself and the little girl ran back to her group. i wished more people would spread little tokens of happiness like that it inspired me.

what a great story! wish everyone was able to be as non-judgmental and giving as children!
