Gas works park

There are many, many parks in Seattle.  It's one of my favorite things about the city.  But there is one park that is close to my house that has quickly become my favorite.  First of all, it has remnants of the sole remaining coal gasification plant in the US:

Which of course reminds me of Bethlehem steel.  They also took some of the remnants and made it into a play area for kids (and grown ups):

It also has an AMAZING view of the Seattle skyline over Lake Union (where all of the house boats are):

I like to sit right on the edge of the water on this wall and just stare out.  Lastly, there is this big hill/mound where you can sit/lay and soak in the sun, talk to a friend, relax, etc, etc:

It just is a really great park and I've already had some great times there with friends and by myself.  If you come visit, it is highly likely that I will take you to this park.
