Today I went hiking with my roommates (and some of the people they work with at Habitat) at this place called Snow Lake. It's about an hour east of Seattle. The hike was not very steep (only about 1500 feet in 3.4 miles), but it was amazingly beautiful. And the lake in the middle of the mountains was picturesque.
I also discovered even more so why Washington is called the Evergreen State.
To see the rest of the pictures from the hike, click here. It was a very relaxing day. On the way back down the mountain, I had an awesome conversation about eating locally and learning more about the food we choose to put into our bodies and where it comes from. Good hike, good conversation, good day.
